Caring Ministry
Here at UUFC, we endeavor to offer a welcoming and supportive community to children and adults in times of both joy and sorrow.
- Caring Connection
- Each of us needs caring some time, and the Caring Connection is a selected group within the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Corvallis that provides caring concern during difficult times. Subgroups of the Caring Connection provide the following services:
- provide casseroles and meals for persons who are incapacitated
- send out cards
- organize UUFC memorial service receptions
- arrange transportation to church
For further information call our minister at 752-5218.
- Counseling
- The Rev. Dr. Gretchen Woods, who has extensive experience in both pastoral counseling and spiritual direction, is available for emergency counseling and personal support by appointment. Call 752-5218.
- Grief Group
- Each year, usually in the winter quarter, a six-session Grief Group is offered that provides both information and an opportunity to process with others who have experienced losses, whether through death, divorce, loss of health, or loss of work. The first three sessions are open, then it closes for the remainder.
