Program Council
The mission of the Program Council is to help ensure comprehensive, enriching, and inspiring programs and activities for the members and friends of our congregation as they work together for the good of the Fellowship and the community. Our primary focus is on supporting those who create the programs at the Fellowship -- our many wonderful volunteers who serve on our committees and invest their time serving us all.
The Program Council provides support for committees and volunteers. The Council encourages leadership development and continuity, facilitates recruitment of leadership, provides orientation and training for committee chairs, and acknowledges and commends contributing individuals.
The Program Council coordinates program activity and provides a central point for programmatic calendaring and evaluation. The Council considers the overall program, provides a forum for ideas, fosters communication within the Fellowship regarding program issues and assists in the regular evaluation and documentation of program activities.
The Program Council provides recommendations to the Board of Trustees for programmatic policy changes and for any program action requiring unbudgeted financial commitment.
The Chair of the Council is elected by the membership of the Fellowship. The remaining councilors are appointed by the Board of Trustees. The Council reports to the Board. The committees and interest groups of the Fellowship have been grouped into clusters and a Councilor serves as the liaison to each cluster.
